Direct Subway to China Food and Drinks Fair

The 98th China Food and Drinks Fair will be held on March 22th -24th at the China Western International Exhibition Center (hereafter abbreviated as CWIEC) in Chengdu. With the joint efforts of all organizations and authorities in Chengdu, Phase Ⅲ of Chengdu Metro Line 1 to CWIEC will be officially opened for trial operation in March. It provides a safe and convenient way straight to participatein China Food and Drinks Fair for all businessman who come from all over the country.

Phase Ⅲ of Line 1 is an extension of Chengdu Metro Line 1 Phase I and South Extension Line on the north-south axis of the city. It is a very important line for constructing a network functional system of "dual-core linkage and multi-center support". The route consists of the northern segment, the branches segment and the southern segment.

The total length is about 17 km.There are 13 stations in total. It is also the extension line of the oldest subway line and the biggest line in terms to passenger traffic of all the Chengdu metro lines. It cooperates with the phase I of line 1 and the South Extension line to link the “dual cores”- the center city and Tianfu New district.It will be of great significance to speed up the construction of Tianfu New Area and promote the acceleration of Chengdu's rail transportation.

In order to ensure the opening of the phase Ⅲ of Line 1 in March, during the Spring Festival, the dispatching crew, station staff and professional maintenance personnel of Chengdu Subway Operation Company worked together to conduct the no-load operation of Line 1, preparing for the trail operation.

As the hub station of the phase Ⅲ ofLine 1, the CWIEC station is the most important station of all the stations in the phase Ⅲ of Line 1. When it is completed, it will become the largest transferred metro station in the history of Chengdu subway construction. In the future, it will become the city reception hall of Chengdu Tianfu New District and will lead the development of Tianfu New District through various business functions around the exhibition Center.

During this fair, the CWIEC station will open six outlets, including CWIEC Station, Guangzhou Road Station adjacent to CWIEC Hall No. 1 and Hall No. 16 respectively,both the entrance to the fair.

Visitors for food and beverage, imported food,food machinery, international beer, financial services, e-commerce, forest food and snack food should get off at CWIEC Station; visitors for drinks, wines and international spirits, seasoning products, franchisees, please get off at Guangzhou Road Station, and visit the fair in order.
